Hot Momma Monday a day late!

So I am jumping on this bandwagon that Cari started and I want to lose about 17 pounds. Married life has made me rounder than I would like. I went to Mom's today and was looking at some pictures of me from 2004 and 2005 and I was SKINNY!!! Granted I only had Addie 12 weeks ago, but I want to be back to where I was then and 17 pounds should do it. I miss the days when anything looked good on me and I didn't have to worry about covering up a muffin top or having a roll around my waist when I sat down.

I have been taking daily walks with Mom. She walks the pups and I push Addie in the stroller and we walk for an hour (about 4 miles). So far I feel skinnier but my weight hasn't really moved and its been 3 weeks. I love having Mom as my walking partner because she comes to me, making it almost impossible to come up with a reason to skip out on exercise for the day. We have girl time, she exercises my puppies, and we are getting back in shape all at the same time! So apparently if I want to lose weight I am going to have to break down and cut back on my eating. Yesterday I was doing okay until my sweet tooth hit and mom being the sweet one she is baked me chocolate chip cookies.... YIKES! I ate 4!!!!!!! So for dinner I had tilapia, green beans and opted for french bread (3 fat grams) vs. Texas toast (9 fat grams). I didn't eat all of the bread so my dinner was healthy! Woohoo for me!

I am resolving to eat healthier. I plan to cook fish at least once a week and I'm going to cut back on sweets, as hard as it might be. I had another sweet tooth hit later last night so I ate some applesauce, which didn't really cut it, but it helped. If anyone has any low fat/low calorie desserts that they love PLEASE tell me. Sweets are my weakness and is probably where I am going wrong every day.

So, I am going to try to lose a pound every week... My reward for 5 pounds lost will be a really good spa pedicure... oh I can't wait to be a HOT MOMMA!

I'd like to lsoe a few pounds too. I'm teh WORST with sweets! After EVERY single meal i feel like i need dessert haha. But, i think the yoplait Key Lime Pie yogurts are SO good, and they are only 100 calories! U should try one!

Welcome! I have a huge sweet tooth as well. I like the 100 calorie chocolate pudding packs. They really hit the spot when the sweet tooth demon is roaring at me.

For ice cream... check out Breyer's Double Churn no sugar added. They have a couple different varieties, and they are all really pretty good, you wouldn't believe you are eating 'diet' ice cream. The vanilla and chocolate are only about 90 calories per serving, plus they have added fiber, so it makes them a real indulgence for not much strain on the waistline. I grabbed the Triple Chocolate last time I was at the store, and it is the highest calorie one, and it is only 110 calories, 5 g fat, and 4 g fiber per serving (1/2 c). It is enough to tie me over! I have a few different recipes of goodies, too, that I will post in the coming weeks!

Well I love that you posted like 6 things in a row haha. I had a lot of reading to do! I miss my walks with my mom and you guys...bummer. I am so going to start this hot momma thing, I am behind! I love that little collage of Addie...she is so cute and her little legs are getting little rolls! I can't wait to come visit in March!

Girl I am in the same boat. I want to be a hot mama but those sweets just call my name all day long so I end up giving in. No hep withhealthy sweets either. My favorite are warm choco chip cookies or oreos or rocky road ice cream. Talking about them right now is making me want some. Better go to bed.
