I'm trying to capture as many memories of Addie as possible at this fun age, so bear with me, this will be a long post!

Addie had her 15 month checkup last Monday (two days after she turned 18 months...oops!). Addie weighed in at a whopping 17.15 pounds (less than 1 percentile) and is 31.5 inches long (46
th percentile-up from the low 20s percent). The doctor was pleased with her growth, she is still under the curve but is now tracking along it. Dr. C said I can switch from Boost to Carnation Instant Breakfast drinks to help her get extra calories. I wish I
needed extra calories...

Addie says over 50 words consistently now, and Dr. C said she was in line with what 2 year
olds are supposed to do. She told me to look out for her to say phrases next (she already does) so the doctor said Addie is doing excellent.
I told the doctor about Addie's unusual sleeping habits lately (not wanting to go to sleep) and how Addie will go sit on her potty if I am in the bathroom and says "
ewww" if she has a full diaper, and how Addie loves corn on the cob (will eat a whole ear at a time) and green beans over anything else on her plate and Dr. C said "Addie is not normal." I am thinking to myself....uh... what do you mean my child is not normal?! She then proceeded "she's not normal in weight, vocabulary, sleep habits, eating habits... she's not normal, but not normal is a VERY good thing for Addie". So I came out beaming and Addie screaming after her two shots.

Addie's favorite things: Animals of any kind, bubbles, corn on the cob, dolls, "helping" me cook, outdoors (she never wants to come in), shoes, drawing and having you draw for her, dancing to music (she claps above her head now and tries to snap), cartoons (particularly
backyardigans), dresses, playing with anyone she
knows, "washing" herself with soap, "fetching" anything Jarom throws for her,
trying to potty on her potty, waving and saying bye as the toilet flushes (gross I know), and having me swaddle her animals and dolls with the dish towel so she can carry around her "babyyyy".

Addie's not so favorite things: cold water (in a pool or sprinkler), getting her hair rinsed in the bath (but likes it if she is standing in the shower), getting her teeth brushed (you'd think I was pinching her), anything resembling baby food (mashed potatoes, cream cheese pie, pudding, etc.), diapers (she likes pull ups), and she genuinely cries if she is doing something like chewing on her finger and you say "
eww!"- I guess it hurts her feelings.

Addie's favorite things to eat: Corn on the cob, green beans, bell peppers, black olives, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, bananas, peas, steak, chicken nuggets, french fries, goldfish, peanuts, raisins, puffs, cereal with milk, ketchup, smoothies, limeades, ice, peppermints, candy. Addie's gotten pretty good at eating with utensils now and drinking out of a cup, and won't eat unless we give her her own.
Addie regularly asks for Daddy during the day, Bobby, Katie,
Gma, and
Gramps. She learned to say Scott the other day and kept pointing to him and calling for him on the way home from church (he was driving beside us). She looks through our
Haynie family book and grabs it from the bookshelf all the time and has me tell her who everyone is. She points to Papa and
Nuna and says their names and gets super excited when she sees pictures of Avery,
Kena, Nate
Dogg, and Chase. She seriously squeals in delight at the pictures of the girls. Whenever Addie sees a red truck she thinks its Daddy and starts calling for him and bursts into tears when she realizes it isn't him. Friday Addie and I were driving home and there was a black car in front of us and she thought it was Uncle Bob and started calling for "Bobby" (he drives a black car). I told her it wasn't Bobby, that he was at work and she burst into tears.
Addie was
supposed to start nursery last Sunday but one of the kids that goes to nursery had had a high fever the night before and the mom still brought the kid.... Doesn't she know that you need to be fever free for 24 hours before you aren't contagious? I wasn't going to expose Addie to any extra germs that I didn't have to, so luckily Grandma had packed crayons with her and enticed Addie to color all during church. Last week's Activity Days was focused on serving others so we cleaned ALL of the nursery toys and surfaces (along with a few other more fun activities)..... No one in nursery knows how long its been since the toys were cleaned with anything other than baby wipes...YUCK (they were so filthy)!
Today I was getting laundry out of the hamper and hit my elbow really hard on the door and so I was groaning hunched over and Addie came up and got right up in my face and said "MOM Mom mom...wha wronnn?" Addie also seems to have a pretty good internal clock and around 5 PM she starts asking for Bobby and around 7 she starts asking for Daddy. Today she brought me a bow for her hair at 7 and I put it in her hair and asked her if she wanted to look pretty for Daddy and she enthusiastically nodded yes. She has really turned into a Daddy's girl and goes hysterical when her Daddy has to leave for work.

Addie is our doll baby, she and I are best buddies and I love how she interacts and shows affection. She loves to pray and folds her arms when we say "Lets pray". Last night
Jarom was asleep so I was just going to pray with Addie and started our prayer when Addie realized
Jarom wasn't praying and started tapping on him saying "daddy daddy" to get him to pray with us (we kneel on our bed for prayers so Addie can do it too)...so sweet. Addie is always thinking about her Daddy and always asks "and daddy?" whenever we do anything. She and I went through Subway drivethru before church and I ordered food. Addie said "Mom!!! And daddy?" so I told her we ordered him a sandwich and she was satisfied. Addie gives
Jarom and I both a kiss and hug before she goes to sleep and is so proud of herself afterwards. We sure do adore our little gal!
PS. Addie and I fly out to Utah tomorrow to meet up with Jarom's family -my first ever trip out west, I am nervous about the long plane ride with Addie, so say a prayer for us!
