Addie mashed her finger in Jarom's droid phone somehow and came crying to me...
Addie: (in tears) MOM... I need a mermaid for my finger
me: A mermaid??
Addie: Yes! A mermaid.
me: What kind of mermaid??
Addie: a Princess mermaid!
me: You mean a princess band aid???
Addie: (puzzled) no... a princess mermaid
me: a mermaid is a fish person... do you mean a band aid?
Addie: oh... yeah.
I love my silly princess everything girl! Everything has to be princess, meaning frilly, girly, pink, or all of the above. Every day she asks to wear a princess dress so now her wardrobe consists of a closet full of dresses (thank heavens for hand me downs from Emily!), she needs princess shoes (flowered flip flops or pink polka dot flip flops), and she needs a pink princess bow. She begged to have a pink bedroom so I finally gave in and chose a VERY light pink and she is tickled...pink... {snicker}.
Last funny is that Addie stared hard at my face the other day and said "Mom you need to clean your polka dots!" It took me a second to realize she meant my freckles, and then she told me I needed to go wash them off. Today she told me all about my polka dots on my eyebrows, nose, cheeks, forehead, arms, etc. and how I needed to take off that "make up". Silly girl!
Addie calls corn on the cob popcorn (and she calls popcorn popcorn...) and she can't get enough of it! Tonight we grilled bison steaks, had corn on the cob, potato salad, and macaroni salad (tons of starches I know but I haven't been to the grocery store in 2 months so we made do) and all that Addie wanted was corn. After the first ear was totally devoured I made her eat a little steak before she could have another ear. And here is Addie proud of herself. These pictures are just for memories, as I don't have time to edit a thing and I haven't posted pics in ages!
