Oklahoma!

The three little princesses
Tuesday morning Addie and I left at 5 AM for Tulsa. Addie didn't sleep the night before so we were operating off of about an hour of sleep. Our flights went well, Addie slept through the 30 minute flight to Memphis and then was up through the 2 hour layover and finally fell asleep the last 20 minutes of the last hour flight to Tulsa. When we got to the airport my Aunt Pam was waiting for us and we went to lunch at Qdoba (one of my favorite restaurants that we no longer have in HSV). It was the first time that Aunt Pam had seen Addie and Addie immediately took to her and loved on her! We had a fun visit and then Aunt Pam dropped us off at the Haynie's. I was so glad to see Aunt Pam and so happy she finally got to meet Addison!

Shortly after we arrived, Avery woke up from her nap and got to meet Addie. They are so cute together and Avery loves Addie's binky, more than her own. Every time she sees Addie's she grabs it and puts it in her mouth. It's so fun seeing the three little girls together!

After a nap we had chicken broccoli for dinner (sorry Jarom, you missed out!) and went swimming followed my concretes for my birthday. We finally crashed for the night after making some bows for cousin pictures around 12:30 AM. It was a LONG day!

Yesterday we had lemon poppy seed muffins, eggs, fruit, and smoothies for breakfast, tried to get cousin pictures, and then went to Dad Haynie's office to meet all of his coworkers. Everyone thought the three little girls were triplets because they were all still dressed alike from the pictures. After we went to a jewelry store where everything is $1 and then to Old Navy where Lexi works to shop some. I got Addie a cute new swimsuit and me a cover up. We came home and had grilled hot dogs, mac and cheese, beans, and veggies for dinner and then Lacey made some really good cookies that had Reece cups baked into them. Addie crashed at 8:30 PM and slept until after 10 this morning. She was exhausted, along with the rest of us. This morning we had waffles with whipped cream and strawberries, bacon and fruit and in a little while we are going to Big Splash water park to join up with the rest of the family. Addie keeps looking at Kiara and will just stare at her forever, I think she is confused by how much Daddy and Kiara look alike. Addie loves Aunty Chia and will stay with her forever without fussing. We are having lots of fun but we sure do miss Daddy!

"Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go..."

In just a few hours Addie and I will be on a plane to Tulsa, OK to visit all of the Haynie's and my Aunt Pam! This is Addie's first time flying and my first time flying by myself and with a baby, so wish us luck and say some prayers for us! Whew, I'm nervous on how Addie will act due to me having to wake her up at 4:45 AM...

We will return Saturday at 10 PM, and then Sam will be staying with us for a few weeks, we are excited to have him here visiting!

So here we come Oklahoma!!!

Family Vacation Pictures

Here are some of our family pictures from vacation this year. This was right outside of our motel, we had a room overlooking the water. Jarom hates taking pictures so I didn't get as many as I wanted, but got a few good ones.

Addie loves to pull hair. She has got a hold on Jarom's here!

Addie grinning for Daddy
Addie loves to be played with and when she gets tickled over something, she puts her fingers in her mouth and grins or hides her face... I love that little girl!

My brother Scott took the pictures for us with my camera. I think he did pretty good, don't you?

Gatlinburg Vacation

Every other year we go to Gatlinburg for our summer vacation. Jarom loves the mountains and I love the beach, so we alternate. This year I was glad it was the mountains year since Addie is still so small!
We left Sunday morning for the mountains and Addie quickly fell asleep in the car and slept for 2 1/2 hours! She woke up and played with her toys for about 30 minutes before getting fussy, but by then we were only an hour away so Jarom fed her banana puffs and water while I drove until we got there and then I nursed her. Then today on the way home, Addie played for about 45 minutes, slept an hour, then we stopped and ate so it gave her a good break. She then slept the rest of the way home! I am so excited that Addie did so good traveling! She also adapted well to an abnormal schedule and barely fussed at all while we were there. In Gatlinburg the days were warm and the nights were really cool! I didn't anticipate it since it is June, but it was nice to have a break from the hot humid weather here in bama. I really wished I had packed us some jackets, but had to just bundle Addie in a blanket when out at night. We ate out and shopped WAY too much... We ate at the Texas Roadhouse (amazing ribs), Pancake Pantry(family favorite), Havana Dreams (really good Cuban food), Hard Rock Cafe, Bennett's (good breakfast), Cracker Barrel, A&W, McD, and dessert and Ben & Jerry's. I am sure I now weigh 50 lbs heavier. Pigeon Forge has a TON of outlet stores and Gatlinburg is full of little shops so if we weren't eating or walking, we were shopping. Jarom found this new store called "All Sauced Up" where they sold all sorts of sauces, dips, dressings, etc and they have it all laid out so you can sample everything before you buy it. We went there 3 different times and found an amazing apple cinnamon BBQ sauce and a cherry almond spread, YUM. It was such a neat little shop, we really want one here!
We took Addie swimming for the first time in Gatlinburg too. She is definitely a Haynie!!! She loved the pool and didn't fuss at all when we brought her in. She started kicking her feet and splashing with her hands and loved it! We bought her a really nice float that had a sun shade and a place for toys and she played in it forever. She really enjoyed the pool and played for over an hour before we took her out and dried her off for a nap (that ended up lasting 3 1/2 hours, she was exhausted!) We also played mini golf at the Hillbilly Golf course. They take you up this steep mountain in this little roller coaster cart and then you play the course on the side of the mountain. It was really nice outside and we were completely shaded so I didn't have to worry about Addie's fair skin.
Poor Addie really had a rough time with her sensitive skin this week. At home I have to use the unscented, dye free Tide on all of our stuff- clothes, sheets, towels, blankets, absolutely everything- because Addie breaks out in a rash if I don't. Well me being the great mom I am didn't even think about this prior to our trip so after the first night in the bed Addie's skin started breaking out. I also applied baby sunscreen to Addie when we went swimming which made it worse. By Wednesday night her whole little body was covered in a red dry rash, and she had little streaks and welts on her face. I freaked but luckily it got a little better before bed, and I had a little blanket from home that I had her sleep on that night which really helped. We really had a good time on vacation despite our allergies that are still dragging on and Addie's sensitive skin, and I hate that it went by so fast! I leave for Tulsa on Tuesday to join the rest of the family there for another fun week! Wish me luck on my first flight alone and with a baby!

We Love The Backyardigans

The Backyardigans is Addie's favorite TV show. Whenever it comes on she turns to the TV and gets so excited! She starts waving her arms and doing that cute little thing where it almost sounds like she's going to hyperventilate she is so happy... haha. I actually enjoy watching it with her, they have lots of catchy little songs and they are funny! I've always got the theme song stuck in my head. It's kind of pathetic, but our DVR is full of Backyardigans now and there is nothing else on to watch, so tonight that is what we turned on... Addie sure did enjoy it!

Addie is a lot better than she was last week. She now just has a very runny nose and a cough, so I called the doctor today and they said it was just the tail end of the virus and to not worry about it. This evening she was laughing like crazy and acting like her normal little self. It was good to see her enjoying play time again!

Virus.

I took Addie back to the doctor since her fever was at 103.7 degrees and she has the "hand foot mouth virus". They prescribed her some hydrocodone and told me to also give her children's Tylenol (not infants). They also had me buy some special diaper rash ointment since that is another one of the joys of this virus. Poor Addie, she looks so puny and sickly and is as hot as a little firecracker. I gave her the medicine as soon as we got home and her fever is back down thank goodness, and I just got her down for a nap. I hate that my little girl is sick.

Shots stink!

Addie had her six month checkup yesterday and had to get more 3 more shots and an oral vaccine... so sad! She was surprising in a great mood the rest of the day and only got a little touchy before she went to sleep. Then came the night, whew... Addie has had a fever of 102 degrees and higher since last night and just feels terrible. She has been sweet but touchy and I have managed to get a few little smiles and giggles from her, but she is very pale, her eyes look "sick" with red circles around them even though she hasn't really cried too much, and just wants to be loved on. I just took her temperature again and she is still at 102.6 under the arm. I called the doctor and they want to see her tomorrow morning if the fever isn't gone by then. I have been alternating Tylenol and Motrin every 4-6 hours, putting cool wet washcloths on her little head, and the fever just won't come down. She is sleeping right now, I hope the fever breaks soon. I hate seeing my little girl suffer, it makes me feel so helpless.

Addie now weighs 13 lbs 10 oz and is 25 1/2 inches long. I have been giving her a break from solids due to some tummy pains but Dr. Cochran said I need to start them again and that I need to make Addie drink juice every day to help her out. Addie loves to eat but the food doesn't always love her. Tonight I was eating some rice krispies cereal and Addie kept trying to get my attention so I'd give her some, so I finally gave in and she got so excited. I let her eat three little pieces and she wanted more but I didn't want to risk the tummy ache. She thinks she is so big. One nurse was getting all of Addie's information from me, so another nurse picked up Addie and took her out in the hall to try to weigh her. Well Addie wanted none of that and was arching her back and fussing at the nurse, not allowing the nurse to get her weight so finally the nurse came back in and had me take Addie out there to weigh her. Addie layed right down for me and they got her weight. Addie is very opinionated.

I hope my little one feels much better tomorrow. Luckily there are no more shots until she is a year old.

Girlfriends

Sweet Addie and MacLane giving each other sugars...

Addie LOVES other babies. She loves to give them sugars and to hug them. Sometimes it is well received, other times the babies cry. Addie is sometimes scared of babies that are bigger than her especially if they are more aggressive than her. Addie gets so excited around other kids she starts waving her arms around and then goes in for the kiss. She is our little lovebug.

Addie's best girlfriend is MacLane who is about 8 months older than Addie. Addie loves MacLane and MacLane loves Addie. This works out great for me since MacLane's mom, Ashley and I are good friends! Addie doesn't cry when MacLane strokes her face, holds her hand, or gives her loves- she just reciprocates it, it is the cutest thing! Ashley and Skyler treated us to Five Guys Burger & Fries (which is a really good restaurant if you want a good home style burger) the other day and Addie and MacLane were standing on the table giving each other sugars for the longest time, how funny! We are so grateful to have the Lee's as our friends, we so enjoy the time we spend with them, and I am so glad our girls get along so well.

Addie "comforting" a sleepy MacLane

Then last week my friend Christie and her daughter Abby came over for a play date. Abby's due date was the day after Addie's but Abby was punctual and was born on her due date, making Addie a week older. Christie and I hadn't seen each other since the end of February when the girls were not quite three months yet, so it was good to catch up and to see the girls interact! Abby wasn't quite so sure about Addie giving her kisses, but they still did great together.

Aren't they cute?

Of course we can't forget about Addie's little cousins! Addie and Avery haven't met yet, but I'm sure will be best buds soon! Addie loves Kenadie and likes to give her some sugars too! It's going to be so much fun having four little cousins born within the year once little "Cruize Davis Jaxon Roman" makes it here!
Addie loving on Kenadie
I'm so glad to have such great girlfriends and am glad to see that Addie is making her own girlfriends too! It will be fun to watch our girls grow together.

I know, I know...

Isn't this dress sweet?
I know I am kind of compulsive over somethings... this time it was over finding the perfect outfit for Addie's 6 month pictures tomorrow. I love all of the outfits I bought, but wasn't satisfied with them... So I took Addie out shopping again today and we went to Purple Peanut, The Laurel Tree, Childrens Boutique, Strausburg, and finally Belk (formerly Parisians). Finally I found this dress and I am happy!!! This picture is from my cell phone and is bad quality and makes Addie's eyes look weird, but you get the gist of it...

Let's all hope Addie cooperates tomorrow and gives me some pretty pictures!

I decided to keep the orange outfit just because I love it so much and its unusual. If Gil doesn't have any cute outdoor areas for it, I'm going to take Addie to Portrait innovations because they have a cute beach background.

So, alas, I found the dress... now time to make a bow!

Can't Decide...

Addie has her 6 month pictures Tuesday and I can't decide on an outfit. It is more of a formal photo studio, but he does have an outside area. So, help me decide!!!
Jarom likes the green dress below. I love this little orange outfit, but it has a shell design on the top.
This one is cute too... whatever will I do?!
