I visited the doctor today for my puking problem. I had another episode last Thursday and then one again this morning. It seems that my gallbladder isn't functioning properly and so the bile builds up until it can't hold anymore and then my body gets rid of it by making me sick. Gross I know. My doctor did a few tests in office then sent me for more blood work today and an ultrasound of it is going to be scheduled tomorrow. If they don't find any gallstones (which he doubts they will find any) then I will go for a function test to see how well if at all my gallbladder is functioning. From there he said my options are to have my gallbladder removed or just keep on puking. So that is where I am with all of that... I am so ready to be done with the pukes! The tiny silver lining is that since I'm having the sick mornings more often it doesn't last nearly as long as it was when it was happening about every month to six weeks, so by 11 AM today I felt good again and ate a fantastic dinner Mom made!

I'm so sorry you're sick!! Let me know if you need help with Addie :)
Oh my goodness. So your gallbadder is the culprit of all of that puking. Bless your heart, well at least you know the cause now. Both Janice and Diane had to have their's removed and they are doing much better. Good Luck!
So sorry honey! The good news is - if you decide to go with the surgery, I know lots of people that have recovered really quickly - let us know what we can do!
Hmmm...well a great way to lose weight, eh?! Just kidding! I'm sooo sorry you've been feeling so crappy! I hope they can get you feeling better soon!
HOLY! Those are not great options, puke or surgery. Keep us updated.
I'm glad there seems to be a solution in sight, what a blessing!
That stinks! I'm so sorry! Keep me posted.
So sorry! I had my gall bladder removed close to 15 years ago, and while the surgery was no fun, I'm glad that it is not something that I ever have to worry about again. The procedure is mostly done lapriscopically (sp??), and that means faster recovery time.
I am so sorry, Beth! Let me know if there's anything I can do!

wow, I have to say that this was the most positive, "puking" post I've ever seen. (Not that I've seen too many puking posts). Seriously though, you have such a positive attitude. I hope everything gets worked out and you feel better soon! I'm here if you need anything too....really!
I am gallbladder-less, when that thing isn't working right it sure is rough. Hope you can get some resolution, and feel better soon.
