Jarom and I are going to be parents in just a few short weeks... eek! Last weekend I had a baby shower at Mom's and yesterday work threw me a shower. I had lots of fun and Addie has SO much stuff already!
We ended up with 15 blankets and tons of clothes and some other things as well. Work bought me the bedding set I wanted (minky dot...so soft!) and a beautiful blessing dress, along with other things. Addie will have to change clothes 3 times a day just to get to wear all of the stuff! I still have to buy several necessities, but showers sure do help to get you started! If we induce, only 2 more weeks- scary!

Showers really are the best. I'm glad you got a lot of good stuff. I'm sure all those clothes will go to good use. You probably will have to change Addie three times a day just out of necessity!
Showers are a lifesaver. I got things at my shower that I didn't even know existed and they have been super helpful.
Who knew it could be that much fun opening presents that aren't yours?!
I know, it is weird how much fun it is when it is even for your baby, not yourself! I guess that is part of being a Mommy and why Santa and such will be so much fun in the years to come.
Michael and I are way behind in times. We are just trying to stay up in school so there is no baby room yet. Poor little Avery. I have a shower on Thursday and so hopefully that will jump start me into action. But on the other hand our apartment is so teeny and we can't paint or anything so it isn't exciting to decorate. But maybe at the shower I will get some ideas and turn our study into her room. Right now it is jam packed with furniture and we just plan on her sleeping in our room in a bassinet. I'll keep you updated. Oh and we haven't tried any other dibs yet, but aren't they great! And they are an easy fast snack to control the chocolate cravings. Can you believe that we are four weeks away at most!?! YIKES!
how much fun. i wish we could have been there! i can't wait for her to come!!
You sure did get lots of fun stuff, showers are the best! Nathan enjoyed all the stuff (ooohhh...), so I am sure Addie will, too!
sorry i have to post about your dibs comment from carlys blog...i have discovered the peanut butter ones and they have been my FAVORITE ones so far...i am also addicted to peanut butter. i have only found them at walgreens though, but it has been a while since i have gotten some so maybe they are at wal mart now. anyway...post soon!
Showers are definitely lifesavers (especially if you're poor like us.. hehe), and I agree with Ashley- you will probably be changing Addie's clothes a lot! Especially when she is younger and poops a lot. Make sure to take extra clothes with you everywhere (and extra ones for yourself wouldn't hurt either) because accidents DO happen! ;-)
