little blessings

I am so thankful for the promptings of the holy ghost, no matter how small. I've had promptings to do things before and ignored them in a hurry and realized after the fact my mistake. Luckily this time I listened.

I got a call from the bank needing one last thing before we closed Friday on Wednesday afternoon. In the mad rush to get closed and moved from our starter home and to buy the new home, I got a little prompting to review the document I had gotten from the company that handles our finances, that I had submitted earlier to the mortgage company for underwriting. I almost pushed the thought aside (thinking I don't have time to stop right now!!), but stopped, sat down, and opened the document for review. Upon doing so I found mistakes (not intentional) that would have led to our mortgage being denied (the underwriter would have thought we were trying to provide fraudulent papers and I remember having to deny people loans for the same thing). I was able to then call the bank, retract the document (since I used to work there they understood and deleted it before the underwriter saw it), and get a correct replacement for them and close on our home. Had I not listened to the promptings, we probably wouldn't have our new home now.

I am so grateful for the gospel and the blessings and promptings we can receive if we just stop and listen. What a blessing the gift of the holy ghost is if we use it!!!

I also had a prompting experience this week about something practical only I didnt listen and it cost me four hours of wasted time and would have cost me a lot more if my mom hadn't had the faith to pray for a miracle, which then was answered. Just goes to show you that you can recieve promptings for anything big or small ,spiritual or temporal. Miracles come that way too.

Amen to that sister!! Aren't you also glad you have worked in the business and have a knowledge because of your experience of being a loan officer!!

PS: Can't wait to see what you do with the house. I know you must be exhausted!! Don't work too hard and rest when you need it for that little one you have inside you!!
