Christmas Day

Christmas morning we woke Addie up a little earlier than she would have liked to open presents. She was so not happy about it...In fact, when Jarom went to put her down in the living room in front of the gifts, a bit of a fit followed...
Until we told her Santa probably brought her Barbie's. Then the little stinker perked up.
Then she realized there was a trike in the room... Addie had asked specifically for a "boy barbie" so Santa had to go to 4 different stores to find a Ken... Addie apparently doesn't think he's cute. Jarom REALLY wanted another XBox 360 because his broke over the summer. I finally gave in. I tricked him into thinking he wasn't getting it, and wrapped in inside a huge box with bricks under it and clothes on top of it, so he thought he was getting tools.Addie thought the bike basket was a hat. And still does today. No matter how much we correct her.Addie riding on her doll from Grandma and Gramps. She was so excited to open it! That poor doll gets beat up daily with her dragging it all over the house.

We had a great Christmas day with fantastic food at Mom's. Addie got the barbie's and trike she wanted, Jarom got what he wanted (nice headphones and an XBox), and I got a new lens and clothes like I wanted.

Addie really enjoyed opening gifts this year and cracked us up with her "oohing" and "ahhhing". She loved looking at Christmas lights as we drove and loved to dance to the Christmas music. Addie LOVED Santa, which really surprised us, and she still mentions him weekly, telling us how he was fun and gave her a book, hat, and barbies.

Our schedules didn't work on Christmas Day with Alisha's family, so we got together with them the day after Christmas and ordered pizza and let the kids play. I accidentally left my camera at home, but we had a great time like usual!

Poor Addie! I can understand her not wanting to get up early. But I'm glad that she liked Santa. Most kids at that age are scared! :) That picture of you and Addie is BEAUTIFUL! You both look stunning! Perfect mommy/daughter shot. And I cracked up over that one of Addie and the Ken doll. Best face EVER! :) I love you guys!

You are so sweet Ashley! I was kinda embarrased to put a picture up of me without any makeup, messed up hair, sleepy face, but I loved Addie's grin in the picture!

I am being completely serious when I say this....You look BEAUTIFUL with or without makeup. And that picture proves it. I love it! My sisters are like that too. They both look just as good without makeup as with. Me, not so much. Haha!

Love the basket over her head, reminds me of when Scott used to put green trash can over his and sing "O Christmas Tree" when he was 2 or 3. Yall would pound on it! Love all the pics.
