Even small successes make me happy. Today I left Addie in nursery during Relief Society by herself and she didn't cry! I peeked in a few times and she was being sassy with a boy that kept poking her, scrubbing the table with a baby wipe, and playing ring around the rosy with great vigor.
I subbed nursery during Sunday school and Addie was being clingy like usual, but then she loosened up! YAY!
Jarom and I both got a new calling...together. Primary. So excited. Can you tell? We will teach the 11 year olds for just a few weeks, and then our permanent class will be the 5 year olds...AKA the rowdy class full of boys that no one can handle well. I hope Addie continues to get more comfortable in nursery so that we can teach these little angels without wrangling Addie at the same time. I was told we were given this call in hopes that the both of us can "man-handle the boys"... Encouraging. This is the third time Jarom and I have been called to teach the 5 year olds in Primary! Once in Harvest, once in Sparkman. Either we aren't getting something right, or we are good with 5 year olds. I'll miss my old calling of almost 4 years...Activity Days. I'm kind of bummed as the first girl to complete the program in our ward in a LONG time isn't quite done... just the bishop's interview left.
And on another note. Addie's new thing to tell me all the time is "No thank you Mommy". This apparently works conveniently for her when I ask things such as "Do you need to come potty?" "Eat your food Addie" and other things that Addie doesn't want to do. Seriously how do you not say "Okay" when she says it so nicely?!

I am so happy that Addie loves Nursery! Don thought it was so funny and cute the way that Addie was so into Ring around the Rosie's. On the calling...yall will do an excellent job. You get to be together so that is a plus too. And last Addie is very polite, I love the way she says "Thannnkkk yew." What a doll. :)
Congrats on your new calling! I was just released from Activity Days too. I'll miss those little faces. One of the girls grabbed me on Sunday and just HUGGED the dickens out of me. Love it love it love it. But I'm looking forward to my new calling as well. Scared to death, but excited.
I love Addie's manners. LOL
I know its hard to change callings, but I think you will really end up loving Primary...I sure do. Good luck with the rowdy boys. I'm sure you and Jarom will be great teachers!
Congrats on the new calling! I think that Emma will be in your class. My Beth is going to miss you (and Addie) in Activity Days! Thanks for all the work you did for all those years!!
Good luck! And feel free to give Logan little whop to the back of the head if he gets out of line! :)I'm glad they'll have a man in that class too. I think it will be so good for them. Oh, and thanks again for helping in nursery! I'm glad Addie did better this week.
Wait, five year olds....hmm, that would be Lincoln. :) Well, same for him!
Ooh - I'm guessing from the other comments and what I figure that you'll have Jack in January too - yeah!!!!
Clarissa said that Marky did well in nursery last week as well. We are grateful for those small successes!
